Deputy defence minister secured PM meeting for her brother: report

On Apr. 9, the Ethics Commissioner found Deputy Minister Christiane Fox breached the Conflict of Interest Act by lobbying to hire her husband’s cousin.

A defence start-up, whose lobbyist is the brother of Deputy Defence Minister Christiane Fox, met privately with the Prime Minister to discuss drone technology.

The Privy Council declined comment, according to Blacklock’s Reporter. Fox previously breached the Conflict of Interest Act by lobbying to hire an in-law despite limited qualifications.
