After a year of turmoil inside Canada’s largest public-sector union, CUPE Ontario president Fred Hahn has lost his position as general vice-president at this week’s CUPE national convention.
This has been LONG overdue in my opinion. But this new change does not in any way absolve cupe for the continued support of hahn in the past. cupe has a lot to make up for to regain any of the public trust that it -may have- had.
The Union brass has forgotten who elected them. Seems they work for global entities now!
It's been said that 'management deserves the union they get'! If there are no more workplace/member issues to fight for, then maybe management has upped their game, such that no union is needed anymore!

All School Unions and Trustees need to be fired/removed/abolished! Our schools have been taken over by radical left, socialism, wokism, DEI, CRT BS! Our kids are being indoctrinated instead of being taught Math, Reading, History, Finance, Life Skills! The Alphabet radicals have taken over and pushed their disgusting agenda onto our kids, even teachers are being fired or silenced if they oppose this garbage. This pride crap needs to end, the sexualizing of our children in school should be criminal, instead it's being pushed on our young kids! Traitor Doug Ford needs to clean up our schools and get back to the basics (but we know he won't because he is also a radical Left Liberal!)! And This radical Fred Hanh should be removed NOW, not next year! He's a disgrace to our Schools!
You got what you voted in. Why didn't the membership throw him and his executive out of office for their anti-Semitic opinions, Palestinian terrorist support? The union's duty and "raison d'être" is to support and aid the workers, not be politicians. He should be sanctioned right now and thrown out of office along with a majority if not all the executive.

Unions, especially public service unions, should be legally banned from political activity.
