The Liberals’ use of fabricated campaign buttons to liken the Conservatives to U.S. President Donald Trump may not have been an original idea. In fact, CSIS had warned the Trudeau government back in 2021 that Beijing intended to use a similar tactic.
First reported by The Bureau’s Sam Cooper, Canadian intelligence officials warned the Trudeau government that the Chinese communist government intended to interfere in future elections by linking the Conservatives to MAGA-style politics.
