Conservative MP SLAMS Carney's crime crisis
A high-risk offender rearrested within hours of release and a deadly home invasion are fuelling renewed concerns over crime and bail — and drawing sharp criticism from Conservative MP Larry Brock.
A high-risk sex offender rearrested just two hours after being released on bail is once again raising alarm about Canada’s crime crisis.
The latest case follows a deadly Mississauga home invasion that left a 55-year-old homeowner dead, intensifying calls for tougher bail rules and clearer self-defence protections.

Conservative MP Larry Brock joins Marc Patrone to discuss what he calls a justice system that is failing to protect Canadians under Prime Minister Mark Carney.
“Until Mark Carney repeals the principle of restraint and replaces it with the principle of public safety, violent offenders will keep walking free,” Brock said.
Former law enforcement officer and security expert Ross McLean also joins the show, arguing that bail reform and clearer self-defence laws could deter violent crime and better protect homeowners.

Castle Law?
When someone breaks into your home, they have just relinquished all of their civil rights.
At that point you not only have the right to defend yourself and your property, you have the duty to do so.
As Mr Brock points out, now some judge, 8 years down the road, gets to calmly, dispassionately run the facts through a multi-layer filter of right and wrong.
At the moment of the crime, a homeowner does not get to consult a manual, or a lawyer, nor does he have the time to do so. There are mere seconds from understanding what's happening to acting - all through a terrifying experience.
As far as I'm concerned, and the law should be concerned, when someone breaks into your house intending you harm, that person has turned his civil rights over to you.
