After calling for a full investigation into the federal government’s financing of four British Columbian ferries built by a Chinese state-owned shipyard, Conservatives are demanding the Liberal government cancel a $1 billion low-interest loan for the project.
The Conservatives are demanding the cancellation of the loan after reports revealed that BC Ferries is outsourcing Canadian steel, aluminum and shipbuilding jobs to the China-owned China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyards.
