Conservatives announce LGBTQ refugee boat cruise fundraiser

The cruise through the Muskokas is aiming to get 125 passengers and raise $20,000 to $25,000 via tickets and donations.

As millions of Canadians worry about paying the bills, two Conservative MPs are inviting supporters aboard a fundraising cruise for “LGBTQ refugees”, arguing the party must “demonstrate” its support for sexual minorities.

“We’re all God’s creatures and we’re all loved, and we all deserve to be loved and we all deserve to feel safe and secure,” Conservative MP Scott Aitchison told The Canadian Press. “I believe that it’s important for all of us to — not to preach that, but to demonstrate that.”
