Conservative MP BLOCKED from speaking on university campus
Conservative MP Garnett Genuis speaks to Marc Patrone after a Toronto university’s student union derailed a planned campus event focused on jobs and unemployment.
A planned campus event involving Conservative MP Garnett Genuis was prevented from going ahead after the York University student union refused to allow the use of public space on campus. The event was intended to take place in an open area, allowing students to engage in informal discussions about unemployment, housing, and economic conditions.
Genuis joins Marc Patrone to explain the rationale provided by the student union, and what it says about political activity and engagement on Canadian university campuses.
Also, longtime Liberal MP Chrystia Freeland has confirmed she will vacate her seat in the House of Commons after previously indicating she would remain for several more weeks. Her departure follows the announcement that she has accepted an advisory role with the government of Ukraine, which came shortly after Canada approved additional financial assistance.
Plus, the Liberals’ gun buyback program saw another setback after a pilot phase in Nova Scotia resulted in far fewer guns being turned in than projected.

How is that students can dictate who or what can use university properties. Their fees pay to be educated. Didn’t know they were purchasing or leasing the property. Are the administrators appointed to their positions so weak they can’t control the operations. I would appreciate anyone explaining this student control.
The same old story. The liberals have spread their virus far and wide. Free speech is only for them. You would think that the student union would be interested in jobs and unemployment. I guess they do not want to know how the courses they are taking won't help them get a job.
