Conservative MP Michael Cooper is accusing Prime Minister Mark Carney of deliberately misleading Canadians about the true size of his government’s deficit spending. In a statement, the Conservative MP called Carney’s plan to balance the “operating budget” a way to “cook the books.”
“His creative accounting is designed to hide his massive deficit spending,” wrote Cooper in a post to X.
