Climate fanatic Bill Gates says climate change won’t lead to extinction

Long-time environmental alarmist and billionaire Bill Gates now says climate change “will not lead to humanity’s demise,” and that “people will be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future.”
According to the Microsoft co-founder’s personal website, GatesNotes, emissions projections are down, and people should no longer subscribe to the “doomsday view of climate change.”
“Unfortunately, the doomsday outlook is causing much of the climate community to focus too much on near-term emissions goals, and it’s diverting resources from the most effective things we should be doing to improve life in a warming world,” Gates writes.
“It’s not too late to adopt a different view and adjust our strategies for dealing with climate change.”
His recommendation to temper climate alarmism appears directed at global leaders gathering for COP30, a climate summit in Brazil next month.
Gates stated that while climate change is “serious,” governments “can’t cut funding for health and development” programs to fight it.
“It’s time to put human welfare at the centre of our climate strategies, which includes reducing the Green Premium to zero and improving agriculture and health in poor countries,” he continued.
“This is a chance to refocus on the metric that should count even more than emissions and temperature change: improving lives. Our chief goal should be to prevent suffering, particularly for those in the toughest conditions who live in the world’s poorest countries.”
His new stance marks a dramatic reversal after years as an outspoken critic, having authored “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster” in 2021.
Gates had previously said climate change “could be worse” than the COVID-19 pandemic, and that avoiding a climate disaster “will be one of the greatest challenges humans have ever taken on — greater than landing on the moon, greater than eradicating smallpox, even greater than putting a computer on every desk.”
Additionally, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has donated significant sums to fund companies working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, even funding a company attempting to dim the sun and redirect its rays out of the atmosphere.
However, during a Tuesday interview with CNBC, Gates denied claims he had changed his tune, arguing that the Trump administration’s decision to diverge from climate investment has been a “huge disappointment.”
“We really need all the countries working together on this, just like we need them to be generous on their aid budget,” said Gates. “If you think climate is the only problem, and it’s apocalyptic, or if you think it’s not a problem at all, my memo will make no sense to you.”
He now takes the “middle position” that “climate is super important but it has to be considered in terms of overall human welfare.”
Gates went as far as to say that cold is a far greater threat to humanity than heat, writing, “surprisingly, excessive cold is far deadlier, killing nearly ten times more people every year than heat does.”
According to Gates, his recent shift was not announced because “everybody agrees with it,” but because he thinks “intellectually, it’s the right answer.”

How ironic! That after teenagers and young people have been terrified and traumatized into believing they're all going to die from climate change. Gates knows the lie is not holding up to scrutiny. He's running scared.
