Children now account for one-third of all Food Banks Canada visits

Last year saw an increase of 340,000 visits compared to what was recorded in 2020, something that Food Banks Canada says is, "unacceptable in this country."

Canadians children who relied on access to food through at-school programs, may face a difficult time this summer, as youth visits to food banks across Canada continue to rise dramatically.

Children visiting food banks now account for one-third of all people, with more than 700,000 visits made by children in March 2025.
