Longtime NDP MP Charlie Angus has called on Canadians to join a nationwide boycott of Amazon in protest of their closures in Canada, specifically seven warehouses in Quebec, even while listing seven different books for sale on the platform.
Angus, who has been an MP since 2004, has written multiple books, including his most popular book, Dangerous Memory, which warns of an “incoming decade of greed.”
His other books include Cobalt, which discusses the controversial past of minings projects in Africa and Canada, and “Children of the Broken Treaty,” in which he accuses Canada of having a history of apartheid.
Angus also attacked Amazon founder Jeff Bezos for “making fun” of Canada, by allowing Amazon to sell ‘51st state’ satirical merchandise among the over 150 million products offered in Canada.
