Century-old Quebec church destroyed by fire
The enormous blaze overwhelmed firefighters, with the Saint-Romain Church bell tower collapsing within an hour of the fire starting.
Another church has burned to the ground, this time in Saint-Romain, Quebec, marking the second church fire for the province this year and the third in the past several months.
An emergency call requesting assistance from the municipalities of Lambton, Saint-Sébastien and Lac-Mégantic was made shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday.
