To compete with the USA, the CBC was created as an counter measure to introduce talented canadians to the world who would have been otherwise overlooked and remained unknown; this was the CBC's origional mandate. In the early 1960's and beyond, step by step, the CBC became the propaganda machine of the Feds and the corporate empires, both domestic and foreign.
Where have you heard "this program has been brought to you by Pfizer"? Can the news anchor's claim the Pfizer drugs and vaccines are not safe and effective, but deadly? Can they claim that any of their sponsors products are harmful or are not as advertised? In other words, would "they" (CBC MSM) "bite the hand that feeds"? You know the answer.
There are 40+ million Canadian's. Funded by the taxpayer to the tune of 1.2 billion dollars annually, the CBC's current viewership ratings are between 1.5 and 2.2 million viewers for their primetime news programs. That is 5.5% viewership - for the sum of 1.2 billion dollars.
CBC need to stay in it's lane, and put their ideology on the shelf.
