The CBC’s legal team is attempting to dismiss explosive claims of political bias from former journalist Travis Dhanraj, suggesting he only exposed the state broadcaster because he wanted to “embarrass” certain reporters.

Following Dhanraj’s testimony at a Commons heritage committee on Tuesday, Kathryn Marshall, his lawyer in the human rights trial against the public broadcaster, revealed that the CBC’s legal defence team is claiming Dhanraj’s motives for fighting the CBC, which eventually led to his firing, stem from personal grudges against colleagues.

Unlike the legacy media, we accept ZERO tax-dollars. Join us in our mission to replace the CBC.
