Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is accusing Prime Minister Mark Carney of pushing Canada toward a risky economic rupture with its largest trading partner, calling the government’s latest messaging “another illusion” detached from reality.
In a sharply worded response posted Sunday, Poilievre argued Carney is advocating a long-term break from the United States while maintaining most of his own investments south of the border.
