On today's episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by former energy executive Gwyn Morgan to discuss Mark Carney's latest attempt to deceive the Canadian public.
You discussed the inability of fully qualified doctors to work in our broken health care system. You should also mention that the policies of "Carnage" such as increasing the capital gains tax for one, will motivate increasing numbers of doctors to head south of the border. Guess what? What age group will those departing doctors be part of?
- [ ] Build a new economy. It is as your guest said, “he doesn’t believe in the private sector”. That is most certainly the case. Self employed or small sole proprietary businesses with sole or few employees are hated by governments. They thrived under Harper, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to continue under the “New Economy.” In large urban centres where manufacturing engages tens or hundreds unionization or traditional employer/employee relations may make sense. But enter rural Canada that model becomes far less tenable given lack of opportunities to work. So one must become a jack of all trades (master of none…. I suppose) in order to have sufficient work not to mention consistent work.
- [ ] When you say Candace that Carney’s ideas are unsettling, you are absolutely correct. And by New Economy, well there is no such thing. We either continue with the tried and proven capitalist, free trade, market economy or we revert to demonstrably failed/failing communistic, autocratic, centrist controlled systems. People can live in such situations, absolutely, but those people are left with a devastated class and elite class but no moderate middle class. Turn to nations that are running from such economies and see that teachers, nurses, auto workers, welders, etc are all at a much lower standard of living than what we have had as Canadians. “You will own nothing and be happy” is the New Economy maxim to be sure. But it can only be a maxim as owning nothing only leads to despair. Owning leads to self pride, self determination, self governance, which in turn leads to community spirit, community development, community engagement and commitment. We lived for almost a year under the New Economy during the plandemic which exposed fear, separation, distrust, and a ballooning of national debt with no positive personal data to show that it “worked.” Carney is carnage through and through. But while I say that about Carney, I hold little faith in the CPC even with Poilievre. We need a radical shift to small c conservative values.
