Carney’s approval slipping as trade deal deadline nears
Carney’s approval rating at 15 months is now at the same level to that of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s popularity when he was over a year into his tenure.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is slipping in the polls as Canada–U.S. trade negotiations continue to stall, with the deadline for the joint CUSMA review approaching.
A new poll from the Angus Reid Institute shows his approval rating has fallen to 55 per cent, marking the third consecutive decline since peaking in February.
