Carney to appoint new Supreme Court judge "imminently"

Sources say the two candidates supposedly up for consideration by Prime Minister Mark Carney are Glenn Joyal and Anna Loparco.

The decision on who will replace retiring Supreme Court of Canada justice Sheilah Martin is expected to be announced shortly, with Prime Minister Mark Carney poised to choose from two leading candidates.

“I expect that this appointment will be made imminently… we’ll be moving as quick as we possibly can,” Justice Minister Sean Fraser told the National Post.
