Prime Minister Mark Carney is on a “reduced schedule” vacation this week, despite his warnings about U.S. tariffs. This follows his cabinet’s failure to secure a trade deal with Mexico and his inability to resolve the tariff issue.
The Prime Minister’s Office press team released a media advisory Sunday, announcing Carney would “reflect a brief period of local vacation” for the week of Aug. 11. He will remain in the National Capital Region and surrounding area.
