Carney STRIKES OUT in Asia & APOLOGIZES to Trump

Prime Minister Mark Carney is back from Asia — empty-handed once again. After a much-touted meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Carney failed to secure any concrete deal on lifting tariffs against Canadian farmers and exporters.

Also, Carney has confirmed he personally apologized to U.S. President Donald Trump over Ontario’s now infamous ad. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says Carney “approved the ad, condemned it, then apologized for it,” calling him “duplicitous” and unfit to represent Canada abroad. Meanwhile, Doug Ford contradicts Carney, saying the PM never objected to the ad when it was shared in advance with him.

All this comes on the eve of Carney’s first federal budget — expected to show a massive deficit blowing out of the water Justin Trudeau’s already massive deficits , and a fresh round of big-ticket spending. Critics warn the budget could be even worse than the Trudeau years, with taxpayers now footing more than $1 billion a week just to cover interest on the national debt.
