While Prime Minister Mark Carney promised austerity, the top brass in his Privy Council Office still managed to pocket an average of nearly $28,000 each in bonuses last year.

The average bonus for executives at the Privy Council Office (PCO) was $27,925 last year, with 129 of 135 executives receiving one, according to the Results Of The Performance Management Program For Executives 2024-2025 report.
