Prime Minister Mark Carney said a West Coast pipeline proposed by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith hinges on agreement from British Columbia and First Nations
"Female group dynamics favor consensus and cooperation. Men order each other around, but women can only suggest and persuade. Any criticism or negative sentiment, if it absolutely must be expressed, needs to be buried in layers of compliments. The outcome of a discussion is less important than the fact that a discussion was held and everyone participated in it. "
Carney has the Federal power to over ride B. C. objections , but will not use it as he is anti oil....hides behind consensus . How is this. " Leadership ?"
Great point - 'leadership'?? Indeed, i couldn't agree with you more if we were twins - this total LACK of leadership is a yet another wonderful reason for Alberta to Separate ASAP
The Alberta government shouldn't put all their eggs in getting a trans-BC pipeline. There are at least four other routes for getting crude to sea:
1. Cut across Yukon an patch into the Trans-Alaska pipeline -- which is designed for high-capacity oil transport but these days works only at a small fraction of capacity. Also: they must keep oil flowing in it to prevent freezing which would cause extremely expensive damage.
2. Cut across the NWT or norther Saskatchewan and Manitoba to get to Hudson Bay. Apparently Churchill has the best deep-water port but alternatives may be found a bit futher north, that would require relatively modest adaptation.
3. Keystone XL to Illinois and Texas. Yes it was stopped years ago, but the plans already exist and are feasible, and for the next 3 years the proposal should remain feasible. Now might be the time to get the deal done.
4. South through Ft McLeod into Montana, Idaho and Washington or Oregon. This route is more problematic because of mountainous regions but there are some usable passes which are less problematic than all but the most northerly BC routes. A bigger problem is that it involves at least 3 states, the two choices on the coast being the furthers left politically, which may make this route as problematic as crossing BC.
AB needs alternatives on the table. You can't negotiate in a market where there is only one trading partner with a monopoly. Play the field.
The Express pipe line that goes from Hardisty Alberta to casper Wyoming was completed in 2007 or2008 by Kinder Morgan on time and budget. We can do it again.
No leadership from this PM on Nation Building projects which are federal responsibilities, excuse and blame are Carney's mandate and he'll continue to prevent progress in Canada, and will continue to bankrupt Canada and send billions of tax payers dollars offshore. Meanwhile while back home he'll cut back on necessary projects that affect Canadian citizens who pay the taxes.
Carney should be turfed out! The only way Canada can survive is if it can sell its fossil fuels! This green new scam is designed to destroy the economies of the world!!
Carney is NOT anti-oil. Brookfield invests in oil pipelines, outside of Canada. Carney is anti-Canada. Its leadership: he is bringing Canada into the arms of the chinko group.
Talk, Talk, Talk, Endless Discussions.
B.C. Government and the Indigenous are middlemen to prevent any pipeline from being built. This way no one cannot put the blame on the Liberals.
The climate nonsense is failing internationally and Carney will not give in until Canadians finally get rid of him.
Reminds me of this:

Remember when Carney conned Parliament into granting him the power to over-ride all regulations, consultations, etc.. etc..
Another fraud perpetrated upon the Canadian people and Canada's economy by the king of lies and fraud.
... Translation of this article ...
Chances of there being NO pipeline ... Let's say as close to 100% as you can get.
However... Chances might improve if Brookfield wanted it would they not?
And there it is…. Endless debate and delays.
soooo, nothing changes? This is an agreement to do absolutely nothing?
The snake Carney wastes no time in playing his "consensus " card - again.
Eby and Carney are both climate nutbars and Indians can’t build a sewer line on their own. Are we getting the government we deserve?

Bovine patties from the buzzword boss. The lieberals have a well used word of theirs to describe his marxist response. Disinformation.

Is this a country or not?
Clearly not. Notice that population required to elect an MP is lowest on the East Coast, Then Quebec, then Ontario. The West is treated like slaves.
Carney should be turfed out! The only way Canada can survive is if it can sell its fossil fuels! This green new scam is designed to destroy the economies of the world!!
Bold and brave banker leadership. Set groups against each other a la the "our diversity is our strength" lie in order to achieve... nothing!
Carney will support any project that can clear the insurmountable hurdles the liberals have put in place. Nothing will be built.

Carny had no intention of supporting a pipeline anywhere and Sask and Manitoba should be aware of that. Has the man told the truth about anything?
