PM Mark Carney is pushing Canada toward a far deeper alliance with the European Union, but promises Parliament will have the final say with a vote on the still-undefined deal.
Joining the EU needs to be country-wide binding referendum. Can't just do Parliament. Each province should also have to agree, like amending the Constitution, and each province should do referendums, not just leave it up to politicians who were not elected to do that. But tyranny under the Westminister System is easy if you have a majority. Joining the EU should hasten the split up of Canada forever.
Listened to Winston Marshall guest say this is how the UK government is working, but it seems like Canada too:
Navigator: "Pilot, the bomber is going down. Do something!"
Pilot: (adjusts clock). "I fixed the clock."
Finding something to distract and get busy with. That's this, trannies, Ukraine, Iran, Israel, so many irrelevant issues. Immigration! Everything, and I mean everything, else is irrelevant. Yes, Trump too.
Well, a vote in majority Parliament and its committees is a foregone conclusion. It's a mug's game. How about calling an election on the issue and let actual Canadians, not just the Elite Class, have a say providing, of course, that you have the sack to run on the real issues and not on ad hominem attacks and mendacious talking points.
I think we'd need a binding referendum on that issue alone. Too many people just vote for a party without ever knowing their platform or the issues. And I think it needs to be done provincially not federally, and all provinces and territories must agree. No FN exceptions either.

Tracking the decline of the country it seems.
