Taxpayers are on the hook for over $1 billion after Prime Minister Mark Carney pledged new funding to a global health fund ahead of the G20 summit in South Africa.
Well for $1 billion, I expect at least 3 African dictators will be able to afford new private jets, and likely at least a dozen generals will get new mansions....and likely a few thousand bureaucrats will get bigger cheques....and likely a couple of people will get shots for malaria during a photo op somewhere. Thats the expected return.
Just my opinion, but considering that these lieberal politicians were elected to best represent the interests and welfare of Canadians (albeit by the sheeple), I feel this Africa donation is just one more example of the party's and pm's demonstrated negligence of the public trust. Turf these tyrants. Election needed.

Migraine specialist for one of my kids took 6 years. Next time I'm just flying me/family south for health care. Even "Dr Nick from Upstairs Hollywood Medical School" is better than what Canada offers.....

The Canadian federation deal is that the federal government give 50% funding for health care to all provinces however the feds only give about 22%. The feds have always broken the health care funding deal to provinces but now they are going to give our tax money of a billion dollars to Africa to fund health care there....If a government ever had a plan to screw over their people big time, and bankrupt a nation, this is that government and this is how they would do it.....

I agree wholeheartedly. I just spent a total of 12 hours at the hospital with a sick husband. Then I read that our premier got up in the legislature and said median wait times here are 2.5 hours. Yeah ,right!
