I'm super curious why we want to demonize Carney for being a successful business person when he was working in private industry?

Nothing that you've shared in this article seems to actually suggest that there's anything going on besides a business person making business deals and trying to make $$. Isn't that what we want more of in Canadian businesses - e.g. making money and being successful on the world stage?

So a business leader should never deal with any foreign party if ever considering becoming a politician?

Seems like that’s how we just get career politicians.

A politician should disclose all relevant conflicts arising from all business dealings. Carney has avoided doing so, therefore the scrutiny is merited.

what conflicts do you think he has if everything is in a blind trust? Similar to how all previous PMs have had to address major conflicts.

Articles like this that are more puff than actual verified conflicts are just propaganda IMO.

I predicted the response would be "blind trust". That is actual propaganda as it discloses absolutely nothing. Context matters. Carney has been soft on anything related to China and I can think of 3 solid reasons that raise concern about his relationship with them — no criticism of 100% tariffs imposed, not firing Paul Chiang, and the $250 B loan to Brookfield in late 2024. To not have questions at this point is truly blind trust. Delving into all his dealings with China can reveal actual conflicts. You may not want to know, but I certainly do.

Also. Scrutiny is always good! Assuming guilt is not.
