Prime Minister Mark Carney has tapped former McKinsey boss, China ambassador and Century Initiative co-founder Dominic Barton to chair Invest in Canada.
Barton will serve a three-year, part-time term as Ottawa seeks to attract billions of dollars in new investment, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

Prime Minister Mark Carney says Barton’s leadership will help “catalyze billions in new investments” as Canada seeks to reverse a historic investment drain.
More than $1 trillion in investment exited Canada between 2015 and 2024 — the largest capital exodus in Canadian history, according to a recent RBC analysis.
The appointment puts the former McKinsey executive and Trudeau adviser back at the centre of federal economic policy.
