The Carney government has outright rejected a proposal to finally measure productivity across the federal public sector, claiming the review doesn’t “readily align” with its priorities.
Government productivity? That is an oxymoron. There is nothing to measure.
Governments don't produce anything except paperwork and obstacles. Otherwise their chief function is to transfer one person's wealth to another person.
In the case of the abysmal state of Canada's so-called Civil Service it is neither Civil nor offers much Service.
