Prime Minister Mark Carney blamed the Conservatives for Canada suffering the highest food inflation among G7 nations, claiming their “obstructionism” is driving up grocery bills for Canadians.

“One of the impacts, according to TD Bank, on food prices, is the falling of the Canadian dollar caused by the obstructionism of the members opposite before this government came in place,” said Carney during an exchange in the House of Commons on Tuesday. “What this government is giving Canadians is certainty.”
