Regarding the stuff about Coastal First Nations, that's being taken too far. That's a red herring and it annoys me. No-one ever claimed that that's a tribal council nor a band. First Nations organize themselves in all kinds of ways for different purposes as various associations, etc. This is an association with reps from the local First Nations. They've been around for decades. They worked with DFO many years ago on fisheries-related matters. Are they being taken advantage of by corrupt politicians? Are they being dragged through the mud to create further division between aboriginal and non-aboriginal, just like with the Cowichan decision? Are they being used as political pawns?
