Carney abandons the people of Iran after initial support for air strikes

Prime Minister Mark Carney is doing a complete about-face, abandoning his initial full support for the U.S.-Israel air strikes on the Iranian dictatorship and is now calling for a ceasefire after the Islamist regime slaughtered tens of thousands of its own protesters.
During an address to reporters in Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday, Carney walked back his support for the U.S.-Israel strikes against Iran. The strikes eliminated Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and nearly 100 top officials, and garnered widespread support from the Iranian community living in Western countries and in Tehran.
“We support efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security,” Carney said. “We do, however, take this position with regret, because the current conflict is another example of the failure of the international order.”
