On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show News Update, Candice details the shocking scenes from Puerto Vallarta yesterday as war broke out between Mexican police and a major cartel after a top cartel leader was killed.

Candice reminds the audience that Mexico is not exactly a safe or developed country. It’s more like a failed state with the veneer of safety and security, but in reality some regions are run and controlled by vicious drug cartels. She highlights the absurd push by Liberal and NDP politicians, as well as legacy media like the CBC, telling Canadians not to vacation in the U.S. and leading them to believe that Mexico is safer.

Next, Candice talks about Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s announcement last week about getting tough on immigration and possibly limiting government social services to legal immigrants who have been in Alberta for more than a year. This is a small step towards sanity, Candice argues, and yet Smith was almost immediately met with harsh criticism from the left, including being accused of “racism” by the NDP.

Candice discusses the insanity of the BC Human Rights Tribunal, which announced last week that it fined former school trustee Barry Neufeld $750,000 because he politely voiced concern over the worst excesses of the radical left and its gender ideology.

Finally, Candice rails against propaganda at the Olympics – notably during the gold medal hockey game where the CBC tried to interject “Elbows Up” nonsense into our national sport – and she discusses more fake news in the Globe and Mail.
