Canadians’ perception of Americans far worse than the inverse
Only 13 per cent of Canadians said they felt very favourably toward Americans, and another 32 per cent said their view was favourable, while seven per cent weren’t sure or couldn’t say.
Nearly half of Canadians hold an unfavorable view of American people compared to the overwhelming majority of U.S. citizens who view their neighbours to the north in a positive light.
According to a new survey conducted by the Angus Reid Institute, 48 per cent of Canadians “say they view Americans unfavourably,” compared to the “overwhelmingly positive (79 per cent favourable) coming the other way.”
