Canadians more pessimistic about their future than Americans: study

Sixty-one per cent of Canadians said they'd never achieve their parents' stability, compared to less than half of Americans (48 per cent).

The “Elbows Up” enthusiasm that the Carney government once enjoyed appears to be dwindling as a new survey shows that Canadians are more pessimistic about their future than Americans, particularly when it comes to their economy.

Polling firm Abacus Data released new data this week from a survey which found that when asked if it was “difficult to plan for the future,” 67 per cent of Canadians said yes, compared to only 55 per cent of Americans.
