McMaster University, the birthplace of evidence-based medicine, has issued a statement rejecting its own standards for fact-based science. Dr. Gordon Guyatt, the physician who pioneered evidence-based medicine and co-developed the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) system used worldwide to assess the strength of clinical research, recently co-authored systematic reviews of gender-affirming care.
