Geoff Russ joins Alexander Brown to break-down this cultural moment for Canada, and its growing generational divide between young conservatives and the Liberal supporters who are predominantly seniors
I disagree as a 72 year old male when you’re saying seniors are predominantly liberal. I know many in my area that are full on conservative. I think the area they live in ie liberal strong hold as well as unfortunately many seniors traditionally watch the TV for info and we know what that gets them compliments of MSM and CBC and CTV. There needs to be a targeted concentrated and challenging way to get those seniors to understand truth since they have always voted liberal like their parents not clearly understanding all of the critical elements at work in modern society. Also don’t forget all the immigrants the liberals brought in to bolster their ranks, since they receive government handouts, they will definitely vote liberal as corrupt as that is.
Ontario has 122 electoral districts, and Quebec has 78. Together, they have 200 districts. The remaining Canadian provinces and territories have 143 districts (343 total districts - 200 = 143).
Quebec and Ontario decide who the governing party will be; the rest of Canada decides whether the selected party wil be a majority government or not.
If seniors are predominately liberal, how do you explain the following:
In 1984, (12 years before Alex Brown was born) Brian Mulroney's Progressive Conservatives secured 211 seats, a majority of 69. The Liberals, under John Turner, won just 40 seats.
In 2011, (when Alex Brown was 15) Stephen Harper's Conservatives gained a majority with 166 seats, while the Liberals, led by Michael Ignatieff, secured only 34 seats.
Webster's Dictionary defines conservatism as: "a political philosophy based on belief in the value of free enterprise and limited government."
Webster's Dictionary defines liberalism as: "a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the importance of individual liberty and the value of free enterprise."
The "conservative" party is conservative in name only; a wolf in sheeps clothing. The "liberal" Party is liberal in name only; a wolf in sheeps clothing. NDP - a new democrat is a disciple of the NEW WORLD ORDER - as are the CPC, and the Liberal party of Canada; all birds of the same feather.
Well I know this conservatives with Pierre Poilievere are the only ones actively trying to get our total energy sector completely operational and pay off our national debt. Liberals and others who adhere to WEF agendas stand in the way Poilievere has made clear they will not be part of the WEF and Canada 🇨🇦 has the absolute ability to be independently wealthy putting us in a top down position for trade negotiations but Carney offers only lip service and worthless MOU’s. He doesn’t want the energy sector and Canada 🇨🇦 to be wealthy since it interferes with WEF policies.
Will Pierre withdraw Canada from the Paris accord? No, he will not. Will Pierre withdraw Canada from the IPCC? No, he will not. Will Pierre withdraw Canada from WHO? No, he will not. Will Pierre withdraw Canada from the UN? No, he will not. Will Pierre withdraw Canada from Foreign Wars? No, he will not. Will Pierre withdraw Canada from NATO? No, he will not. Will Pierre deport all Illegal immigrants , asylum seekers., and students? No, he will not. Will Pierre Ban Chem-trails? No, he will not. Will Pierre eliminate the Supply Management Cartel? No, he will not. What separates Pierre from Mark Carney or any other Politcian? When elected into the PMO, Pierre will swear the same oath that Harper, Mark Carney and Justin Trudeau swore.
Well you know them by their actions and consistency in their goals based on common sense wisdom. He’s the only one standing his ground consistently against the onslaught of insane political rhetoric. Wisdom will always overrule empty words and non actions. The common sense answers are in front of our face unless people have selfish agendas. This country can be turned around quickly with the right financial decisions and WEF/liberal policies are not the right ones. The answer is straightforward just do it and stop talking get the job done !!!!
Oh, Pierre is the bastian of common sense and wisdom is he? Lets go back to the first two points that I previously made which were clearly beyond what you understand listening to an Idiot like Pierre Poilivre. 1) "Will Pierre withdraw Canada from the Paris accord? No, he will not." 2) "Will Pierre withdraw Canada from the IPCC? No, he will not."
If the climate change narrative were to disappear, the global agenda would collapse which is the following:
1. Carbon Taxes: The primary mechanism for redistributing wealth from populations to governments and corporations.
2. Green New Deal: A massive economic restructuring project aimed at centralizing control over energy, transportation, and industry.
3. ESG Investing: Environmental, Social, and Governance standards used to blacklist companies not complying with climate goals, effectively controlling capital flows.
4. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The UN's framework for implementing global governance, which relies heavily on climate change rhetoric to justify interventions in national policies.
5. Global Lockdowns: The pretext for future economic shutdowns and restrictions on personal freedoms under the guise of "climate emergencies."
6. Climate Reparations: The proposed transfer of wealth from developed to developing countries, further eroding national sovereignty.
7. Green Infrastructure Projects: Trillions in public-private partnerships for "sustainable" infrastructure, enriching corporations and governments at the expense of taxpayers.
8. Climate Migration Policies: The push for open borders under the pretext of "climate refugees," aiming to dissolve national identities.
The climate change narrative serves as a Trojan horse for a broader agenda of economic control, social engineering, and the dismantling of nation-states. Without it, these efforts would lose their primary justification.
So, who benefits from this Hoax?
The primary beneficiaries of the climate change hoax include:
1. Global Elites: The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and other dynasties who control central banks and corporations. They profit from carbon credits, green bonds, and climate-related investments.
2. Corporate Giants: Companies like BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street, which manage trillions in ESG-themed funds, influencing corporate policies and profiting from greenwashing.
3. Governments: Politicians and bureaucrats who use climate fear to justify tax increases, expand regulatory powers, and centralize control over economies.
4. NGOs and Activists: Organizations like the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, and Extinction Rebellion, funded by globalists to push radical environmental agendas and lobby for policies that benefit their donors.
5. Tech Oligarchs: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and others who stand to gain from climate-related technologies like electric cars, solar panels, and carbon capture.
6. The United Nations: The UN uses climate change to push for global governance, wealth redistribution, and population control under the guise of "sustainable development."
7. Financial Institutions: Banks, hedge funds, and insurers that profit from climate-related derivatives, catastrophe bonds, and reinsurance.
8. Academia and Media: Researchers and journalists who receive funding and career advancement for promoting alarmist climate narratives, often ignoring dissenting voices.
These groups leverage climate fear to consolidate power, wealth, and influence, at the expense of the Tax Payer and national sovereignty.
With Pierre Poilievre at the helm, this country can be turned around quickly? Bullshit; The election will be the exchange of one puppet for another.
Clearly you’re enamoured with what if’s. Maybe try thinking at a common sense wisdom level for obvious solutions to Canada’s debt through the immense untapped wealth in our resources. Get us out of debt and placing us in an independently financial position of power for trade negotiations, increasing our military since we’re a sovereign nation and greatly improving our economy across the board !!! What if’s don’t pay bills time and common sense wisdom with consistency do.
I dislike it when senior boomers are lumped into being brain dead Liberals.
I am definitely not one of them, however I, do know some who are. I don’t know where they are getting information from but some of their headspace is definitely bizarre Pierre defamation syndrome.
As a Boomer, I am not voting for myself . I vote for the next generation and their future.
I think you are missing that there is a Class divide.
The Working Class & the Small Business Owners value community, place and the things that bring us together.
The Media, Academic, and Managerial Classes are all in for the Liberal Agenda. They see thier butter as breaded by the Decision Makers. This started when the Universities started looking to Donors for $$. The NGO's started being funded by large Donors and not the community. Deputy Ministers started looking for that Board Position when they retired. Our Politians started looking for big donors to pay for thier election campaign. In short, "He who pays the piper sets the tune" and guess what the people setting the tune like the way things are going.
And more to the point, many of the people paying the PIPER have no connection to your community, so they really don't care what happens so long as they get what they want.
"Universities weren't built to educate; they were built to enslave. From kindergarten to graduation, every step is monitored-grades, behavior, extracurriculars. It's all data mined and sold to corporate elites. They don't just hire you; they groom you like a racehorse. The 'best' are chosen early, their talents funneled into profit-making machines. The rest are saddled with debt, forced to toil in corporate hellholes just to survive. Politicians? They're corporate puppets, funded to pass laws that enrich their masters. Your degree is a leash, your debt is a muzzle, and your vote is a joke. But the most insidious part? They pick you-you don't pick them. Your future is decided before you're old enough to understand the game. The system isn't broken; it's working exactly as designed."
I know quite a few of them, and Trish Wood's description seems to fit: Their house is paid for and its value has rocketed them into a status bracket they don't want to question, let alone challenge. The system is working for them, and the less they think or know about it the better.
A lot of boomers are still geriatric hippies. They support liberal policies like multi- culturalism and the vote buying schemes that are the foundation of left wing politics in Canada. Of course they bought houses when a bungalow was $30K so they are somewhat insulated from the harsh economic realities that concern younger people.
Originating in the USA in the 1960's, the hippy movement was an anti-war protest.
1. Vietnam War Protests: The movement gained momentum as protests against the Vietnam War grew, with iconic events like the 1967 "Summer of Love" in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury and the 1968 Democratic National Convention protests in Chicago.
2. Counterculture Leaders: Figures like Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary, and Abbie Hoffman were vocal about the war's immorality.
3. Anti-War Music: Songs like Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" and Country Joe McDonald's "I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die Rag", and along with many others, became anthems for the movement.
4. Draft Card Burning: Activists like David Miller and Muhammad Ali publicly burned their draft cards to protest conscription, facing imprisonment for their acts of defiance.
5. Woodstock 1969: Although often remembered for music, Woodstock's three-day festival included anti-war performances and speeches, solidifying the connection between the counterculture and anti-war activism.
The hippie movement's core message of peace, love, and social change was deeply intertwined with opposition to the Vietnam War. Their anti-war activism remains one of the most enduring legacies of the era.
In the 60's, homes were $30K and cars were $2k. What you are looking at today, is how much the canadian dollar has deflated in value since then. If a house cost $30,000 in 1960 and now costs $1 million, the dollar has deflated by a factor of 33.33 ($1,000,000 / $30,000). To buy one 1960 dollar, you would need approximately 33.33 of today's dollars. So, what hapened? The Rothschild's happened.
In 1974, our Central Bank, which prior, was printing a debt and interest free dollar, was given to the IMF - the Rothschild's global Banknig Cartel. From then on, every dollar printed was debt, plus interest.
I am 85 and my spouse is 75-we have lived all our lives in Canada. While this show is informative it seems to rely on "polls" done by many familiar names-David Coletto, Angus Reid, Leger to name 3.
I have seen many, many comments by seniors mainly younger than myself and who disagree completely with your findings. I will ask this once again-"Just what is available for anyone to ensure their views and opinions, by the way, should be valued. Why you have never brought up that those of us who disagree with anything and everything the Liberals propped up by the NDP, The Bloq are NEVER given a voice, period.. IMHO, this ranks of compete and utter censorship. Period. Time for you journalists to also wake up and admit that this is indeed what is happening. The Canada I once knew and loved is DEAD-thanks to government, especially Federal. And, PROVE me wrong.
I'm 68 and although I have been virulently against all this woke carney trudeau destruction most people my age are cheering it on or at least giving it all a nod of consent
I am 75 and have never voted Liberal or NDP. I have finally faced up to the reality that the Conservative Party cannot get elected without significantly diluting any solidly conservative policies. It appears that the majority of Ontario and Quebec people are socialist in their philosophy and that is where most of Canada's population is. My hope now (especially for a viable future for our children and grandchildren) is that Alberta and Saskatchewan will vote for independence and develop a constitution with the proper checks and balances (eg. a Triple E Senate; citizen initiated referendums and recall; elected judges) to ensure true democracy.
We are a proud boomer Conservative family. Definetely there are many Conservative boomers....it's just that there are so many of us. Even if only a third of the boomers vote Liberal....they outnumber Conservatives. Agree that many boomers need a wake up call. I hate that they call me a 'Carney Boomer' THAT I AM NOT!! There are still way too many "Woke" 18 to 50 year olds! Those need a major wake up call.

I disagree as well. I'm a 69 year old woman and know many of my generation who are staunch conservatives.
Well stated.
Fully agree and had/have the exact same observations.
I am 78 and absolutely agree with you. I have never and never will vote Liberal.
Keep passing the message on to your friends and family! We need to help the next generation!
