Canada's auto sector hit with major blow
As vehicle exports fall to pandemic-era lows and Canada’s trade deficit surges, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre heads to Detroit, Texas and New York to push for stronger Canada–U.S. trade ties.
Canada’s economy is showing troubling signs as new data reveals a 21% drop in vehicle exports in January, pushing exports of vehicles and parts to their lowest level since the pandemic. Overall Canadian exports fell 4.7%, while the country’s trade deficit nearly tripled compared to December.
At the same time, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is travelling to the United States, with planned stops in Detroit, Houston and New York City, where he says he’ll meet with auto and energy leaders to strengthen Canada–U.S. trade ties and defend an integrated North American economy.
Coalition of Concerned Manufacturers and Businesses of Canada founder Jocelyn Bamford joins Marc Patrone to discuss the alarming export numbers, the state of Canada’s manufacturing sector, and whether Poilievre’s U.S. trip could help restore confidence with Canada’s largest trading partner.

Great episode Mark. Excellent guest too! "...its the bad policies that need to change...". No kidding - too late though, Dear Leader Carney is on his way to running things with no opposition, no legal voice for opposing him, his own Gestapo unit [rcmp] {any SNC or WE scandal charges yet? no? then no one can argue this point}, and it goes on and on. This Albertan can't wait to leave this dumpster fire.
Sadly Canada it was inevitable.
You are very, very, very broken indeed.... Everything appears to be broken... Very broken.

The big question to the Elbowzoe crowd and others...
How bad is it going to have to get....???
What in the world is going to make so very many sleeping Canadians wake up???
I have no idea and it appears too many Canadians have no idea what their governments Federally and Provincially are up to either.
