Taxpayers are on the hook for another $1.1 billion as the Liberal government bails out Canada Post for the 2025–26 fiscal year.

The Crown corporation started 2025 with a $1.03-billion federal loan and reported massive third-quarter losses, a 72 per cent increase over the $315-million shortfall posted in the same period the previous year.
