Canada poised to announce defence bank partners at NATO summit

The initial 10 countries are likely all to be European outside of Canada but have yet to be made public as negotiations remain ongoing.

The Carney government is poised to announce roughly 10 founding nations that will partake in a global defence bank during a NATO summit in Turkey next week.

“We gave ourselves the NATO summit as a deadline ... What we are aiming to announce is the list of founding members,” CEO of the Business Development Bank of Canada Isabelle Hudon told Reuters on Thursday.
