This whole situation started 30 years ago when Nato started moving east ward in Europe after promising not too.

This is not so simple. NATO, (U.S.) signed a deal with Gorbachev and the Bush administration violated it, as later administrations have also.

Yes the war needs to be stopped, but we need to look at the whole picture

Zelensky and the Continental Europeans want WW3 to 1 write off national debts and 2 raid Russian assets. 2014 Minsk agreement was broken between Russia and Germany, France, Ukraine. Well documented.

Zelensky knew he'd been invited to sign a minerals agreement not to receive more money. An agreement he had apparently already signed with the Britain. He also met with the Dems an hour prior to meeting with Trump so I am pretty sure he thought he could go in and pressure Trump. Wrong call.

In this "moment in history" ... If the Ukraine becomes a member of NATO, this will lead to Nuclear War. Who elected these stupid creeps anyway?

Dissolve the EU.

Canadian government is placing our country into the same scenario that Ukraine has always been in. By not aligning with the USA economics and reasonable policy demands the door opens for even more influence by China. Being the geographical buffer zone between the US border and China/Russia aggression is not a wise result to poor political actions. Short term appeasement while building a self sufficient Canada would be my wish here. Unfortunately we have a political socialist wasteland and leadership is lacking. Can Maxime find a way to bring a fresh point of view to these issues?

What’s being overlooked to a large degree is that Trump has decided on rapprochement (and rightfully so) with Russia. There is a tremendous amount of work to do in that regard starting with the simple yet complex matter of opening and re-staffing embassies. Ultimately and hopefully culminating in a new longterm security architecture for both Europe and Russia. Ukraine and Zelensky are irrelevant side shows at this point. The EU (and our own) chihuahuas are stuck in the ‘sunk cost fallacy’ with no way out while saving face and so they double down to no avail. Reality is that Putin is now in the driver’s seat and he and Trump will decide how things go forward. All the rest of these literal clowns are just noise. Up until the inauguration there was only one adult in the room. Now, with Trump present maybe we can make some progress.

Among the best to follow on Ukraine (plus) is TheDuran.locals.com. High quality analysis that has proven itself repeatedly.

Interesting show even though Marty seemed to think it was his! I believe Alex had an opinion about Putin not being allowed to take any part of Ukraine but it should be remembered that the people in the Donbass had a successful referendum to show they wanted to be under Russian rule, not that of Ukraine who had been bombing them for many years. I recommend reading and listening to Scott Ritter to get a full picture and the real history of this situation.

We would not be in this situation if the big shots calling the shots would have intervened and forced Russia to go home. But they decided it was so easy to let Ukraine fight the war and send money. So what happens. it cost many times more in money and lives by playing the chicken shits they are. Playing the big shots in the media, when actually they are cowards. And now because they see all the money drained they wake up and start fighting amongst themselves. Mr. Trump is a big mouth idiot who thinks the world belongs to US.
