I confess that I don't know Sonya Sharp well so I have no right to comment on her electability. That is a job for the citizens of Calgary. What I do know is promises come easy when your only focus is winning an election. I believe what is needed is a valid method of holding the politicians to their election promises. Not just in their first year in office but in every year they are governing. Presently I don't know the solution but I know we need one. May the promise keeper win in this campaign.

I'm also waiting for any - even one - candidate to run on the platform that they will cancel the free parking privelages for council and mayor; and make themselves take the transit system that they all leave for the druggies and dealers.

I agree. You can't be a law maker and a law breaker.

I disagree - although normally I would completely agree - as a Calgarian I can say all our choices are bad. This is a case of who is the least awful. Sharp is 2nd least awful; thanks to wanting drug centres in every neighbourhood. Davison is the only one who is moderately conservative and at least he'll leave the meth central location downtown where its already a hellhole - and simply needs policing; ie law enforcement, not enabling!!!

She lost my vote the second she decided she wanted to shut down the Drop in Centre and put one in all the suburbs. F*** her. If i wanted meth heads in my yard, I'd live downtown thank you very much.

You have been spouting this lie for sometime now and called out on it just as often and have been asked to cite the source and where she has said that but you have provided nothing. I believe you have misinterpreted her words. Please give a link to where she actually says she is going to put drug centres in every neighborhood. The word decentralise is not enough evidence to support your position.

Calgarians and have failed in a number of past mayor elections, maybe this is what they need. Stop voting for socialist, something may change. I don’t know a thing about Sharp, but it can’t get much worse can it?

"it can’t get much worse can it?" said everyone who voted for Gondek after Nenshi.
