Premier Ford’s choices – or lack there-of on key issues of conservative leadership – have consequences. Record youth employment continues to rise. Immigration concerns continue to grow. Housing and healthcare can’t keep up with the strain. A growing sense of economic and cultural stagnation has taken hold. For the first time in recent memory, most Ontarians believe their children will have fewer opportunities than they did, and an increasing number of young people are moving to other provinces or south to the United States in search of a better life.

And yet, there is hope for Ontario. The province hosts a deep talent pool — from tradespeople and entrepreneurs to engineers and researchers — world-class institutions, abundant clean electricity, and unmatched access to the North American market.
With a clear vision, bold policy, and concerted effort from government, business, and civil society, we should be able to restore prosperity, affordability, and opportunity to a once flourishing province, that deserve better than more managed decline.
