Great! Next we have to get rid of the NDP and join Alberta and Saskatchewan in their bid for secession!

Here here, it is now time for the western provinces and territories, SK, AB, BC, YK and NWT to leave the rat infested, corrupt liberal sinking ship known as Canada. All the woke, communist morons in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Edmonton can move east because we definitely don't want them. Skidmarx carnage can then become chinese, european or whatever the clown wants to be..he can rule over a broken and bankrupt country. And Quebec will have to pay their own bills for once.

It is time now for WEXIT

We in the EAST are not designated dumping ground for your Lieberals' and Dippers', how the heck do you think our provinces got this way. Quebec can have them all! We are trying to break free and where I live much, closer to the USA, right across the Niagara River. Toronto Ontario and the GTA are a world of their own, look at Brampton would you, worlds apart, but you wouldn't believe that.

I wish them the best of luck. I think they would be a far better than what they have now. Of course anything would beat what they have now.

Rustad is a good egg, but he needs to work harder at keeping his foot out of his mouth. And the Dallas Brodie affair was absolutely shameful. But, having said that, there's no comparison to the execrable NDP. The sooner they're gone, the better.

Rustad is sadly a Crusty Clarke retread. But even a retread is better than what we have now. The Dallas Brodie event would never have happened if you had a true ramrod-straight Conservative unafraid of the truth. However, he is legions better than Eby and the corrupt NDP.

Agreed, Rustad has shown his true liberal colours and is like Doug Ford - 'Red Conservatives'

He is way too woke to be a true conservative.

One BC for me. The BC Conservative will not get my vote. He is no Pierre Poilevre.

He is far better than the disastrous ndp, he does however need to boot out the woke liberals that crossed the floor and also needs to adopt the policies that Danielle Smith is implementing. BC can't afford another year of eby.

Whilst I agree with you, isn’t it best to vote strategically, just to get what we need at this time? We NEED to get rid of the NDP first, THEN let’s entertain the virtues of OneBC. I’m going to their event in VCR island, and I hope in the future they can be kingmakers, a legitimate alternative. But now is not the time to cost a Conservative victory with something as transient in politics as virtue.

Well…let’s see how John actually delivers. Especially on property rights which is on the minds of all BC residents at this time. He wouldn’t have been my choice but I don’t see anyone else who could do better at this time. Let’s go!!!

Don’t split the vote, where have I heard that before? Sorry, if more people stopped worrying about vote splitting and stopped listening to that rhetoric and voted for the person who has integrity and values, then we would have a chance. I encourage people to stop voting against something and vote for something.

We haven't seen much of the Conservatives in any meaningful way. Seems they've had alot of in house politics going on. You never supported the cull of the birds. Your absence is noted.

Even though I was a member, I didn’t even participate in the vote because I don’t trust the party brass to be honest. Especially after the shenanigans they pulled before the last election in our riding!

Hopefully, the conservatives can win in BC next time there is a provincial election, though they too are far from perfect, especially in standing up to three major problems: transgender ideology, mass immigration, and the threat of Chinese Communist influence in BC. They could do more on all fronts. That province is now suffering from the disastrous leadership of the current NDP administration. It makes me sad because I am from BC and still love it, despite not living there at present.

Specifically, BC suffers from a large fiscal deficit due to wasteful spending and over-taxation. $11.6 billion is the projected deficit for the current fiscal year, 2025-26. The NDP has mismanaged the economy, contributing to the cost of living.

Repeat and violent offenders are quickly back on the streets. The drug decriminalization experiment was a disaster. There has been poor handling of the opioid crisis, which ties into asymmetric war by China on Canada and the US, since the CCP is responsible for importing fentanyl into BC. They allegedly stopped this directly in 2019, but since then, it has been taken over by criminal groups that are most likely aligned with the CCP. The precursors are shipped in, and fentanyl is made from them (even the CBC admitted this in a report). The majority of crime groups bringing in fentanyl are in BC. The U.S. government has linked CCP-backed networks to trafficking operations in Vancouver. In September 2025, The Epoch Times and Todayville reported on testimony and investigations linking CCP-backed networks to cartels and triads operating in the Vancouver area.

The NDP's support for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) in schools oversteps parental rights in its aggressive promotion of transgenderism. Premier Eby frames conservative policies and even concerned parents as "hateful", which is incorrect and polarizing. This is typical of neo-Marxists: NDPers typically get their start in the student unions, where they internalize cultural Marxist tropes on race and gender and learn how to milk the system for profit and power.

Recall also that under the NDP, BC pushed medical tyranny in the form of lockdowns and mandates to an extraordinary degree, violating the rights of citizens and harming them. Recall the nefarious work of Dr. Bonnie Henry during that time. Check out Janice Fiamengo's article on Henry titled "I Hope the Future Isn’t Female: The Covid Safety Regime Highlighted How Intensely Mother States Dislike Independent Men" on Substack. She writes sarcastically:

"The moment I knew we had passed over into complete Covid infantilization occurred [in] May 2021, when Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s chief health officer and a much-celebrated "woman who led us through the pandemic," announced that she was mulling a special British Columbia Hug Day. Those of us who had supposedly been waiting throughout the previous 14 months for government permission to hug were to be grateful for Dr. Henry’s ongoing, compassionate guidance."

BC is a lot like California: it has beautiful wilderness and many good people, but also terrible leadership. Leftists in the cities (esp. Vancouver) vote in the worst sort of government.

Mass immigration to Canada is a huge problem. In the latest 2021 Census data, 41.8% of the population in the Vancouver Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) was foreign-born, while the percentage for the province of British Columbia was 29.0%. This is shocking. It means that, like London, UK, which has a similar rate of foreign-born residents, it has essentially ceased to be a Western city. Vancouver is now officially on its way to becoming just another Chinese city. I find that rather sad.

Most of them come from China and India. It will eventually no longer be a province of people of European descent, which it has been since the 18th century. They did all the hard, back-breaking work of establishing it, and now China is taking over -- which even a conservative government will not likely address (though they should):

A major problem BC is facing now is the incremental and alarming influence of the Chinese Communist Party there, in collusion with the NDP -- including foreign interference in elections, disinformation campaigns, and transnational repression of Chinese nationals.

AI informs me that "A public inquiry found a 'reasonable possibility' that a foreign interference campaign targeting former Conservative MP Kenny Chiu may have impacted the outcome of the 2021 federal election in his BC riding of Steveston—Richmond East. Intelligence reports indicate that CCP-linked Chinese-language media in BC spread disinformation portraying Chiu as "anti-China".

"The CCP has been accused of attempting to promote preferred candidates and defeat those considered critical of Beijing. This involves using campaign funding, media manipulation, and intimidation tactics against politicians. In 2022, intelligence reports alleged that the Vancouver consulate actively interfered in the city's municipal politics.

The CCP uses "its influence to sway decision-making at all levels of government, including through covert cultivation of influential people. A 2025 report alleged that CCP-controlled intelligence networks had links to high-level British Columbia government officials.

"The CCP's influence targets Canadian communities, particularly the Chinese-Canadian diaspora, to silence dissent and control narratives. The CCP and its proxies monitor, harass, and intimidate Chinese-Canadians—including human rights advocates, journalists, and followers of spiritual groups like Falun Gong—to silence their criticism. Tactics include cyber-attacks and threats to family members in mainland China.

"There are covert Chinese 'police stations" in Canada, including one in Richmond, BC. The CCP mobilizes "United Front" groups and uses social media to amplify divisions and intimidate pro-democracy movements, such as those related to Hong Kong.

"CCP control over Chinese-language media in Canada restricts free speech and misinforms Chinese-Canadian communities. This media control is used to discredit individuals and groups critical of the CCP, creating a distorted information environment for new immigrants and limiting their exposure to Canadian democratic values.

"The CCP uses economic leverage to gain influence and subvert Canadian institutions, including academia. The CCP uses the promise of market access to pressure Canada into making policy concessions and refraining from challenging China on non-trade issues, such as human rights. Concerns have been raised about CCP-affiliated firms acquiring Canadian companies and assets, including in critical sectors, to further Beijing's strategic interests."

Also, "Chinese buyers accounted for a significant portion of the Vancouver market, with some studies in the mid-2010s suggesting nearly one-third of sales and substantial overall investment. . . . a large majority of that foreign investment in Metro Vancouver has been linked to Chinese nationals." And many of them are tied to the CCP and used by it to spread influence in Canada.

In other words, China, a hostile foreign entity, has established a beachhead in BC in its asymmetric war on the West, and the NDP government is letting them, which could be called treason. Not enough people are talking about this, even in conservative circles.

Meanwhile, Kamloops was the place where the mass grave hoax originated. I have often wondered how BC's native population will fare under a Chinese Communist government that their leaders and pundits unwittingly helped usher in by invoking the supposed racism of white people. Not that good, I'd wager: if they think the residential schools' emphasis on assimilation was bad, wait till they are forced to assimilate to the CCP world order. It will be ten devils worse than anything the white man imposed.

Right now, they profit from serving as a wedge issue by Leftists to invoke white guilt in the bid by the Leftists to impose their power. But once their purpose is served, both the Leftists and navites will likely be considered expendable by the CCP. The CCP considers its own people expendable; imagine how they view Canadians, especially with leaders like Trudeau, who was a puppet for Beijing; they view us with utter contempt. Canada has an enormous amount of untapped natural resources (arable land, wood, fresh water, oil, minerals, gas) and a relatively small and easily manipulated population. The CCP is taking over with the help of the Leftist "progressives," yet no one is really talking about it, except for the Epoch Times, which was founded by anti-Communist Chinese ex-pats. The rising deficit may play into that eventually: China likes to give loans to debt-laden states as a way to control them.
