BREAKING: Liberal candidate Thomas Keeper RESIGNS following Juno News’ exclusive report

The Calgary Confederation candidate for Mark Carney's Liberals was hit with a flurry of disturbing allegations earlier this week in a Juno News Exclusive.

Following Juno News’ exclusive investigation into disturbing allegations surrounding Liberal candidate Thomas Keeper, he has abruptly dropped out of the Calgary Confederation race.

Our exclusive report detailed firsthand accounts from multiple sources who claim Keeper engaged in a pattern of abusive behavior. One source, Brett Pearce, recalled his unsettling conversation with Keeper:

“He was talking about [how] whenever he wants to have sex with his wife he just forces her to do so.” Pearce said in an interview. “I said, ‘is she okay with that?’ he's like: ‘I’m her husband. She has to be okay with it.’”

Another Calgary businessman who has had intimate dinner conversations with Keeper told Juno News the subject of the Liberal candidate’s marriage came up so often that he finally challenged him.

“She complains about him forcing himself on her, she's like, 'it's horrible,'” the witness recounted.

“And I've told him to his face, that’s f***ing rape, Thomas. Your wife says, ‘no,’ it's f***ing no, not 'you'll take it' [...] whether you like it or not."

Additional accounts from former associates described a public incident where Keeper’s behavior turned violent. Pearce recounted:

“He physically grabbed his wife, Maggie, and dragged her off her high heels,” Pearce said. “It was absolutely nuts.”

These allegations—among others detailing verbal abuse and disregard for consent—paint a picture of a candidate whose private conduct stands in stark contrast to the image he has projected on the campaign trail.

In the wake of our report, Thomas Keeper has withdrawn his candidacy. Campaign officials have confirmed his exit, and as of publication, Keeper has not provided any further comment on the matter.
