BREAKING: Kerry-Lynne Findlay declared new B.C. Conservative leader & premier-in-waiting
Former Conservative MP and lawyer Kerry-Lynne Findlay is the new leader of the BC Conservative party.
Former Conservative MP and lawyer Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been elected leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia, winning on the fourth round of ranked-ballot voting.
The party announced Friday that Findlay secured the leadership on the fourth ballot with 51 per cent of the vote. Caroline Elliott came in second place with 49 per cent of the vote.
According to the BC Conservative partyÈs executive director Angelo Isidorou, 25,000 members cast ranked ballots as of 11:30 p.m. Thursday, representing 95 per cent of eligible party members.
