Gladu, who represent Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong, is defecting from the Conservatives to join the Carney-Liberals, bringing them one seat shy of a majority.

Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu has crossed the floor to join the Liberals, calling it an “opportunity” to “build the nation at speeds never seen before,” bringing the Carney government now just one seat shy of a majority.

Gladu, who represented the riding of Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong, announced she would be defecting from the Conservatives on Wednesday in a letter published by the Liberal Party of Canada.
