A fifth B.C. Conservative MLA has left caucus within a month under Kerry-Lynne Findlay, who says she’s focused on filling vacancies and delivering results, not “political drama.”
Rosalyn Bird, elected as a B.C. Conservative in Prince George–Valemount in 2024, announced Tuesday she would leave caucus and sit as an Independent rather than resign her seat.
A day later, Richmond–Bridgeport MLA Teresa Wat, also left caucus to sit as an Independent.
Bird was one of three MLAs reporter Jas Johal identified as having been asked by Findlay to resign their seats to allow the leader to run in a by-election.
