BREAKING: CBC hires Temporary Foreign Workers for media, business and tech jobs
In an exclusive breaking news story, Candice Malcolm reports that Canada’s state broadcaster has hired at least 20 temporary foreign workers to work in journalism, business and tech jobs in Ontario
This is one you’re not going to believe…
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice shares government documents Juno News has uncovered showing that CBC has hired at least 20 Temporary Foreign Workers in their Ontario offices.
As Candice reports, the CBC has used Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA) to claim they cannot find Canadian workers to fill these positions. The CBC, since 2015, has filed at least 20 of these in Ontario, including for positions they deem “high wage.”
Does anyone really believe they couldn’t find CANADIANS for these jobs?
CBC claims to represent Canadian culture and identity while taking $1.4B annually from the taxpayer, and yet, they prioritize hiring foreigners over Canadians.
UPDATE: CBC spokesman Chuck Thompson told True North that they were “unaware” of the issue but would provide a “more informed answer” in the future:
“Regarding your question, there’s nothing I’m aware of but perhaps if you could give me more specific details I’d be able to give you a more informed answer.” Chuck Thompson, Head of Public Affairs, CBC
Later in the show, Candice is joined by Juno News host Alexander Brown to discuss the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) and how it has led to record youth unemployment. They discuss Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s comments yesterday in PEI condemning the Liberal management of the TFWP and his prediction that the numbers will continue to rise despite Liberal promises to cap the program.
They also discuss Conservative Immigration Critic Michelle Rempel Garner’s work exposing LMIA and TFWP scams.
Next, they discuss a new lawsuit against the CBC over its unwillingness to disclose subscription numbers for their lacklustre streaming service Gem. The CBC takes taxpayer money, then turns around and charges a premium to watch its programming, and on top of that, they’re using even more taxpayer resources to go to court to block an access to information request and defend their lack of transparency. Typical CBC.
Then we go through CBC Gem’s video catalogue to discover they’re mostly promoting American and British shows!
It’s an episode you don’t want to miss. And please share with any friends and family who might be interested.

Good evening folks,
This really doesn't surprise me.
CBC employee wages are paid by Canadian taxpayers and they still refuse to support their own. CBC is the biggest waste of money that I can think of. It is a conflict of interest and the most bias form of journalism I know of. It's is always slanted to favor the woke liberal party and every story they report on is either about queers or the first nations people. I know that sounds disrespectful and it is not intended to be but it is a fact. There is more to Canada then these two minorities. Surely, CBC could occasionally report a story about that would interest the majority of Canadians. I suspect they are trying to promote their own agenda. It is obvious that CBC will not bite the hand that feeds it, therefore it is not a reliable source of news. The money wasted on CBC would be better spent on Health Care.
Thanks,
Rocky.
I suspect the liberals have told CBC to hire foreigners as another way of sneaking them in to the country
