The B.C. Conservatives are losing another MLA, with Abbotsford South representative Bruce Banman announcing Thursday he will leave the party and sit as an Independent.
Banman becomes the sixth Conservative MLA to leave since Aug. 14, deepening the turmoil surrounding newly elected leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
“Person after person has informed me they have decided that our new leader is unelectable,” Banman said.
“So, with a heavy heart I am announcing today I am joining an ever increasing number of MLAs to sit as an Independent MLA in the BC Legislature.”
