If PP was PM and Trump threatened Canada on DSF....and PP backed down like Carney did....and then if Trump fired off a broad side letter like this.....media and chattering class would be chirping like crazy that PP doesn't know how to handle Trump......but we have a International Financial Wizard as PM so crickets from MSM and the chattering classes...or from the lemmings that bought into Carney's elbows up BS.....

Shows how utterly useless these grifters are.

I prefer to call him a 'fake' and a 'joke'. But perhaps that is what 'grifter' stands for. But what is frightening is he and his followers can destroy Canada.

That is the whole point why he's PM, to finish the job started by Justin(e).

So the majority of Canadians thought that Mark Carnage was best choice to face Trump; well he's a big talker, but nothing else. Almost anyone could do what he is doing and Poilievre, I am certain would at least be at work instead of vacationing... Carney what a dud , and now we have to put up with this globalist, WEF/UN operative for nearly 4 more years. This is just the beginning; Carney will bankrupt the country, attempting Net Zero, EV's, renewable energy and and then pull out the totalitarian card, Central bank Digital Currency and gun buy back to control and disarm the country. Little wonder Alberta is contemplating leaving this Liberal messed up country.

Edith's avatar

Not sure it was the majority of Canadians responsible for this beyond the fact lots who didn't agree didn't bother to vote. Look at the total of small percent who voted. Protesting during an election by not voting is 'brainless'.

Carney Liberals must stop pretending to negotiate.

End Supply Management, deal responsibly with illegal drug manufacturing, illegal immigrants and the stupid Green Agenda.

Now this one is going to be interesting. The Liberals get their power largely from owning the Quebec vote. In return, Quebec gets everything it asks for, including ongoing support for their dairy farmers Supply Management system. The SMS supports multi-millionaire Quebec agribusiness, not mom-and-pop farmers. The mom-and-pop farmers are the ones required to dump hundreds of thousands of gallons of milk if they 'over produce'. This system is what forces Canadians to pay twice what they should be paying for all dairy products. Now, Trump has inserted his orange head into this fray. Carny's record on 'dealing' with Trump is, so far, somewhat less than successful (Instantly caving on the DST issue). It has just now dawned on me that this could be a win-win situation for Canadian consumers. Is this why Carny is now hiding, on vacation? Because he sees no way out of this dilemma?

James Turner: The 'supply management cartel' has been a travesty for years. Overwhelmingly of benefit to Quebec, while gouging Canadian consumers. As with reluctant crackdowns on border security and lawlessness as a result of Trump's scrutiny, supply management may be in for a 'reassessment' by the 'elbows up crew'. In the virtual absence of anything resembling responsible governance in Canada, I welcome U.S. scrutiny of ruinous/criminal policies implemented and/or maintained during the Trudeau decade.

For Barbara Jessiman

After the depressing result of the recent election, it's heartening and does my soul good to know there are others out there who see the Liberals and their Quebec Mafia for what they are.

I've lived in Ottawa for the past 20 years and this subject is seldom discussed - in any meaningful way - in the mainstream media or in Parliament. When it is, the Liberals, via

their media outlet, the CBC, do their best to paint a picture of Joe and Mabel, local farmers out with a pail to milk their cows at 5 am. The real picture is of a mega-industrialized dairy industry,

owned by and of benefit to a very few multi-billion dollar corporations. And the citizens of Quebec don't even benefit from this, paying the same outrageous prices as the rest of us.

And now you know what a toilet seat feels like.

For that ...

Thank a Liberal ...

Apparently having a work ethic is also foreign to our supposed leaders especially of the Liberal variety.

When the going gets tough a Liberal gets going.

Let’s get this straight. 1: Carney is not a “real Canadian “ 2: he was installed by the WEF

3: He hates our system. Wants to displace

Us with immigrants who hate Canada 4: Freeland is the driving force she is the evil sorcerer , wake up. All directed for failure. Look at the cabinet not one could negotiate a toilet paper exchange

I'm not sure Freeland is the driving force but she is definitely for the WEF destruction agenda. I wonder what those WEF puppets hope to get when they have fulfilled the agenda, beside a pat on the head.

I thought Fentanyl was more of a Mexican problem!

Expand full comment
Michael Barker's avatar

Nhah, the south border is now secured, so no more excuses can be made. The liberals changed the visa requirements for Mexico so the cartels took advantage of that and are now operating carte-blanche huge fentanyl labs on canadian soil, much like the chinese police stations. Working with the US to resolve this would mean their FBI and DEA would come in to help our fascist rcmp and expose their incompetence so i doubt the government would agree to that, getting exposed as the socialist-fascist they are.

(what a failed country Canada is huh? but it's ok, just keep voting for the LPC or heck just don't and let them cheat their way to "elected" power with the weeks of recounts, Elections Canada and China interference, etc)

And somewhere out there we do have the " border/fentanyl czar" that Canada's #1 Fool - Trudeau - appointed as he was running out the door.

The czar that nobody has heard from since.

China sends the ingredients through Vancouver to numerous fentanyl labs in Canada. Canada doesn't produce as much as Mexico but the Mexican cartels have moved into Canada.

Trudeau did away with the visa requirement for Mexicans to visit, the cartel moved into BC and now we have fentanyl manufacturing here assisted by Chinese unvetted visitors.

Ruth semple's avatar

Actually Canada still has that visa requirement in place as I have a friend who has just had his girlfriend's visa denied. The reason they gave was that they didn't believe she would return to Mexico once she got here. I guess if you're a normal person with honest intentions (& I know she would not attempt to stay beyond her visa) is high risk, but somehow these fentanyl dealers have a pretty easy time getting into our country.

No, it is a big problem out of Canada. And in Canada. We shamefully have huge Labs in BC and likely other Port cities. The criminals figured out how to deliver thru 'the back door' when 'careless people weren't looking'.

What can we expect from Carney and the liberals? He can't shoot from the hip like Trump. He was a bad choice, and his decision-making is suspect. His wife is the boss and will not like him leaving the nest to fight Trump. His lieutenants are not much good, so I guess Tres-Joli will have to put on the green war garb.
