Wouldn't it be a dream to have the west unite and say "we want out"? Can you just imagine what 3 provinces could do to restore what we once called Canada? Sask. has just announced a Prosperity Party and touring the province with a good turnout. I believe with 60% in B.C. wanting a pipeline through it would be good timing for One B.C. to take the challenge otherwise we are going to split with the lost B.C. Conservatives and the Socialists will be back to finish destroying the province.

Forget about 'restoring Canada' - it would be sheer folly to even try. There are FAR too many immigrants in the East who care more about killing Jews than they do about low taxes or fair representation or our economy. NOW - IF we could get Sask, AB and BC [ex Vancouver] to separate....holy cow, that would be a powerhouse and a half!!!

So down in the Caribbean it's looking more likely than not, that the US will implement "regime change" (affectionally known as a coup) in Venezuela. Possibly good for normal Venezuelans, but not good for Alberta, Why? Because Venezuelan crude is not going to be sitting in the ground and production should, within a few years, be sufficient as to displace our crude to US gulf refiners. This blows apart all the chatter about our wonderful, ethical, clean, low-carbon oil which can never complete with much cheaper Venezuelan 'dictator-type' crude. So (1) Need a pipeline to the west coast to supply Asia, and (2) the 'low carbon' strategy is a grift that will benefit Brookfield and make Carnage a billionaire. Conflict of Interest every which way.

No arguments - but this is not just about oil. Alberta, SK, BC do not even get to vote proportionally. This about FREEDOM. Freedom from having our money stolen by scum who put their boots on our throats at every opportunity, scum who treat us like garbage, scum who mock our values. F**K eastern Kanada, us Westerners have NO use for it.

GOOD!!!!

Hold the appropriate people's feet to the fire and turn up the flame.

Words from politicians these days seem to have little to no value.

Actions speak quite loudly..

Alberta has not seen a lot of action in a few regards but has heard a lot of words.

Words seem to be a thing with Politicians.

Actions... NOT SO MUCH.

This is an independence movement in Alberta not a separation.

We aren’t geographically going anywhere. Do better junonews and use the correct terminology. Thank-you for your attention to this matter.

Oh yeah, she's going to lead the nation to prosperity.....After she signs an agreement with conman where she lost billions of our tax dollars to the federal communist liberals. She copped out. She's a turn coat. No longer good for the premier's position.

CLo's avatar

I completely agree - she should be tied the tracks at this point. BOOOO Smith!

I cannot see where so many think she made a great deal. Just because Smith says so, I guess. She gain nothing really. But lost big time in billions to tax dollars. She put us deeper in the costs of living for a pipeline that will never be built. She has lost her way, or conman caught her in bed with someone.

The Board better not be the one's choosing candidates. That is the prorogative

Please seperate..!!!

Amen for the APP! Nice to see the UCP get some REAL Albertans on its board. I burnt my membership card with Smith supporting the c-5 that gave Marx Carnage unlimited powers; foolish, pure foolishness. APP might just get me interested again...

I have to say about possible Alberta separation what I said about Quebec separation. It should not happen that a citizen of Canada loses his/her Canadian citizenship and residence in Canada because of a decision made in a provincial capital. On the basis that every citizen has equal equity in what Nature provided and what tax money paid for, the result of a referendum should be used to divide the province into a part leaving and a part staying.

Secondly, the movement would gain power if Saskatchewan was included (in the same way).

Thirdly, if the seceding part contemplates joining the US it should try to negotiate a large US state made up of the seceding part plus Montana, Dakotas and Nebraska. Then a pipeline to the west coast.
